Week 6

For week six I got to show some more of my technical skills. The ad that I previously spoke of that I turned to black & white for them was provided by a new company that doesn't know very much about the technical side of how to save ads and the sizes and formats that are needed to publish the ad in a newspaper. When we tried to book their ad it was rejected for 'containing cmy plates' and because it was the wrong size. Basically saying that although it looks b&w it still has color pixels. The size issues were an easy fix in photoshop. The cmy plates however, I wasn't sure quite how to resolve that issue. I did some online research and found some fixes for the issue using Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat. After many trial and error attempts I was able to fix the image to where it was accepted on the online ad submission form for the newspaper we were placing the ad for.
Also during week six I updated the Kensington loan and mortgage project that I mentioned making a while back. I updated it to where 2012 has the most current available information. The report had 2012 Jan-April and Cathy asked me to get some updated figures to include Jan-June.
