First day on the job!

I started my first day at Cloth Court Communications today.
I learned a lot of little things that they do either day to day or once a week.
I first went through and sorted old intern emails and then learned how to check for vouchers. We look in the paper or magazines that should have our client's ad and verify that it is there and good. We use one of their system servers to enter to client's voucher number and check off that it has been verified.
I also learned how to sort the daily post and file invoices. Cloth Court get many many newspapers and magazines throughout the week.
I have started on a project for them regarding one of their clients. The client is a mortgage company and they are thinking about expanding to doing regular loans as well. I used Nielsan to look up how much other company's have spent on advertising for loans as well as how much money they have spent on each particular medium. From there I am making my way through a set of charts that will be presented to the client to show them how the market for loans is now, and how it has been in the past. This will be a project that I will probably work on the majority of the time when I'm not taking care of the post and vouchers.
